Within the environmental and building management, you work every day to ensure the safety of the residents and the environment. Both residents of Hammarö and businesses contact us when they need advice and information on environmental and health issues. We help reduce the risk of harm to people and the environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an environmental inspector with a focus on food, your main tasks will include conducting planned inspections of food facilities. The work also includes planning, report writing, and follow-up. Other tasks include investigating complaints and suspected cases of food poisoning, as well as providing information and advice to food business operators and the public.

It is also advantageous if you have experience in supervision according to the Environmental Code. We work both in groups, in various inspection projects, and independently. This requires that you are good at collaborating and taking initiative.

The position is a temporary position from 2025-04-01 (or by agreement) until 2025-12-31 with the possibility of extension.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university degree in food-related studies, such as food agronomist, food engineer, or equivalent education. You should have experience in working with food inspections, and if you have previously worked in a municipality, it is advantageous. To fit the position, you should have good knowledge of food legislation (EU regulations and Swedish legislation).

A requirement is that you have good computer skills. Since the position involves collaboration in many different forums, you need to have good teamwork skills, enjoy providing service, and be self-reliant. As a person, you need to be confident, structured, and analytical. You can engage in a positive and factual dialogue with operators and at the same time, when necessary, be able to set clear requirements.

The position requires a B driver's license.
